Who we are
Our website address is: https://sevenhillsbindery.com/.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Seven Hills Bindery (“we” or “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. We respect the privacy of every individual who visits our website (“Website”). This Privacy Policy is our commitment to transparency in communicating how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information as well as the choices you have with respect to such information.
BY USING OUR SERVICES OR VISITING OUR SITE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY OF THE TERMS OF THIS POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE OUR WEBSITE OR SERVICES OR OTHERWISE PROVIDE US WITH YOUR INFORMATION.
Information we collect:
WORDPRESS/AUTOMATTIC: This website is built with WordPress and is governed by Automattic’s Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.
ETSY: Purchases made via our external links to our Etsy site are processed securely through Etsy and subject to Etsy’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. We do not receive or retain any user data from Etsy except that which is required in order to fulfill our contract with you through Etsy.
CONTACT FORM: We use Jetpack Form Block to offer an easy Contact Form for our users. Jetpack Forms are designed to be GDPR compliant, adhering to principles like minimizing data collection, being transparent about data usage, and adhering to EU data transfer laws, as well as not keeping data longer than necessary. The contact form submission data (IP address, user agent, email address, site URL, and comment) is submitted to the Akismet service (also owned by Automattic) for spam checking. The actual submission data is stored in the site’s database on which it was submitted. The IP address is included as an abuse prevention measure. For sites using Akismet, it is required to provide proper spam defense. We sync post and post-meta data associated with a user’s contact form submission. If Akismet is enabled on the site, the IP address and user agent originally submitted with the comment are also synced, as they are stored in post meta.
ANALYTICS: We use Jetpack Stats to track and analyse site traffic. Jetpack Stats uses data anonymization techniques and abides by “do-not-track” requests to protect user privacy. Jetpack Stats collects data like IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, and country code. The Jetpack Stats logs, where this information is stored, are only retained for 28 days. Site owners cannot see the specific users/accounts that viewed a post, but they can see the total number of views.
COMMENTS: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
MAILCHIMP: We collect your e-mail address via the Mailchimp signup form block in order to communicate with you on an ongoing basis to inform you about upcoming sales, events or exhibitions. Mailchimp collects and analyzes data on clicks, opens, social activity, purchases, and other interactions. You can easily update your preferences or unsubscribe from this service via the links included in each e-mail and we will not retain your e-mail address.
AKISMET: We use Akismet Anti-spam to reduce spam. Akismet anti-spam collects data to identify and block spam, including author email addresses, IP addresses, and other relevant information, but only for the purpose of protecting against comment spam and complies with GDPR and other privacy regulations. We include a privacy notice under each comment form. Akismet’s full Privacy Policy is available here.
